Wonder of the World
We had an epic day of High Tourism, where we visited the Great Pyramid of Giza, learned about its construction, crawled into its bowels, and were duly awestruck. We also rode camels through the desert landscape, experienced to Great Sphinx, and went to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, where we communed with over 22 spectacularly preserved mummies of Pharaohs and Queens, some over 3000 years old. While the rest of us loved spending time among the massive pyramids, Willa was most impressed with the mummies, one of which was grinning and looked like he was giving us a thumbs-up.
