Ramadan and Friends in Cairo

Carl’s buddy Karim kindly offered us an apartment to stay in within New Cairo when we returned from our tour. We were embraced by his extended family: his lovely parents, his sister Norhan and her kids. We spent two wonderful evenings breaking fast with them, Willa had a sleepless sleepover with Lara, who she quickly bonded with, and we had a fun visit to Kidzania Cairo. Our last night, Karim’s father surprised us with the gift of a glorious, beautifully crafted carpet. Their generosity was very moving.
